Meet the Team
Andrea
Andrea joined Pfizer in 2015 and in December 2020 became Director, Head of EU Government Affairs. In his current role, he leads the Pfizer EU team’s external engagement strategy and manages relationships with Brussels-based trade associations. Andrea holds a M.A. in EU Diplomacy from the College of Europe (Bruges campus) and a M.A. in EU policies from Padua University (Italy) and the Institut D’Etudes Politiques (IEP) of Strasbourg. An Italian national, he speaks English, French, Spanish and Serbo-Croatian. He is married and proud father of Ines since February 2021.
Yordan
Yordan joined Pfizer’s EU Government Affairs team in January 2022 as a Senior Manager, leading policy efforts in oncology and rare diseases. He is active in trade associations like EFPIA and EuropaBio, focusing on the Orphan Medicinal Products and Paediatric Regulations, the Beating Cancer Plan, and gene therapies. Before Pfizer, Yordan led a team of consultants at a Brussels public affairs agency. He holds master’s degrees in political science and law from College of Europe and the University of Strasbourg. A Bulgarian national, Yordan is fluent in French and English.
Coralie
Coralie joined Pfizer's EU Government Affairs team in April 2023, following previous roles in European and global public affairs at Johnson & Johnson and Sanofi. She is the team’s point of contact on topics including oncology and vaccine policy, pandemic preparedness, and chemicals restrictions. She holds master's degrees from the London School of Economics (LSE) and Sciences Po Paris, and a bachelor's degree from McGill University in Montreal, Canada. A French national, she enjoys travelling, running, and yoga.
Riccardo
Riccardo, who joined Pfizer’s EU Government Affairs team in April 2022, oversees EU legislative files on digital health and sustainability while acting as the main contact for the Internal Medicine unit. He also supports Pfizer’s Twitter and website platforms. Previously, he interned at the U.S. Mission to the EU, working on digital policies, competition, and healthcare. Riccardo holds a master’s in International Business Management from ICHEC Brussels and a bachelor’s in Economics from the Catholic University of Milan. An Italian national, he enjoys climbing and football.
Charles
Charles is part of Pfizer’s Global Trade Policy team, focusing on FTAs, transatlantic trade, and supply chains. He chairs the International Working Group at EFPIA, the European pharmaceutical trade association. Previously, Charles was a Director in Pfizer’s EU Government Affairs team, covering anti-counterfeiting, intellectual property, and trade, and providing policy support to the commercial business. He holds an MA in German from the University of Edinburgh and an MA in Politics, Security, and Integration from University College London’s SSEES.
